The Royal Geelong Yacht Club has a proud history of being a family club established over 150 years ago

The club caters for beginners and welcomes experienced sailors, novices, cruisers, and for the land lovers, who are happy to belong to a club, where they can socialize in a safe and comfortable environment.

The Royal Geelong Yacht Club has very active Cruising and Power Boat Groups who enjoy monthly meetings and a number of different events and cruises where all Club members are welcome to come and enjoy.

Social Activities for members, include Trivia Nights, Dinner dances, Casino Royale Nights and Community Fund raising events to name just a few.

Friday night is Club member night, a good night for members to unwind, prepare for the weekend and have a drink at the "Yachtie", as a new member you will automatically go into the Key draw, which gives you a chance to win up to $1,000 in prizes, but you have to be at the club to win.

A number of training courses are held throughout the year, including Learn to sail, that's ai you are not already a sailor, Coastal navigation Courses, radio Courses to ame a few.

At the Royal Geelong Yacht Club we value our Volunteers, their contribution to the club is vital to ensure a successful and well organised Club envirnment.  Volunteering is a great way to keep yourself busy and make a difference.  Opportunities include assisiting race officialseach week, sailability-sailing for all abilities and the Festival of Sails.

Royal Geelong Yacht Club is located in the heart of the award winning Geelong Waterfront and provides the perfect setting for members to bring guests or clients, down to the club for a drink or a meal.  You can enjoy magnificent marina and bay views while relaxing and sipping on a well matured glass of red.  All members receive a 10% discount off all beverages, dining and merchandise purchases at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club
